There are many heroes left out of the history books. For some reason, scholars seem more obsessed with wars and conflict, rulers and kingdoms, not the great people of the world who advanced civilization. If asked, you might be able to tell me who invented the light bulb. The assembly line? How about the cotton gin or peanut butter?
These inventions and discoveries are great in their own right but no one gives credit to the masters of the water world. Plumbing’s greatest heroes throughout time who have advanced our sanitary needs and provided solutions to provide freshwater to those who cannot obtain it.
Sure, penicillin is an incredible drug that has saved many lives but no one can live very long without freshwater. In fact, a healthy human may live just over a week without water. So how do you put a number of lives saved by these masters of hydrodynamics? Can you put a statistic on the human race?
Please explore our tributes to these great people and remember them when you brush your teeth, flush your toilet or drink your ice cold beverage.
